I'm shortly going to need some new tyres. I've got 17" Goodyear Wrangler HP all weathers, which have been okay, but looks like they could be bettered. I don't do much off roading, mostly motorway and around town. Drive fast, so want wet capability, and stopping. The Yokahamas seem to rate better.

Thanks CG. Possibly worth considering. Wouldn't I have to recalibrate the speedo? |

No just the same my speedo agreed with the sat nav when on 17's and still does on 18's... some say dealer has to reprogramme the cars ESP/DSC to allow for shorter sidewalls, You should tell your insurance however but sticking to geniune alloys shouldnt alter your premium much if at all.

If you are interested in the 18" Alloys with Pirelli Scorpions on, I noticed that Hartwell's in Northampton had a set of 4 on offer, about £250 (I think) each last week. 01604 547700

I've done about 31K on them. They aren't down to the marker yet, but i tend to heed the european guidance on those. It's getting wet, and I don't enjoy unexpected aquaplaning! They seem a fairly good tyre, but i fancy a change, and have noted on a few surveys that there are supposedly better options. Indus Silver
