STARTECH - Some nice kit!

I was searching the net when I found Startech. They are to soon to launch a lower front spoiler with LED daytime running lights and a rear skirt with integral exhausts. Also available is a tailgate panel which brings it flush with the rear bumper. I think the kit is really nice and looks well finished judging by the pictures.

With this kit though, you will still need to colour code the door mouldings.

What do you think?

I have some door moldings for sale, you could get them coded whilst pondering on it Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Confused the trouble is one day you may have to drive it on a public road and run the risk of people pointing and laughing Confused but hey ho each to their own Laughing

not so sure about the led lights any more, there are 2 Audi's locally with a few blown leds in their lights. looks bad on such new cars and I'm not sure whether its a cheap fix to put them right ? At work

I like the front too, back i'm not sure off either. Wheel don't do it for me either.

I'm just wondering if one could not fit these themselves on the current bodykit. Needs some investigation...
I went to the website to check this brand out, and saw a demo of a C300 where they added those lights. Seems easy to do without adding a front spoiler.

The rear I don't like at all! Now the FL2 looks like any other SUV, it remembers me the RAV4 or Renault Mégane.

I like the FL2 as it is quadratic and edged and not these licked soap forms like all the other 4x4 do have (except LRs)

The daylight LEDs are OK but they still do look too much Audi like.

I definitely don't like the front spoiler… look at this line… it looks like pasted onto the old spoiler. Freelander 2 SE 4Td Izmir Blue, Dog cage for Alaskan Malamute, iphone Navigon Navigator

As day time running lights are mandatory for new cars from 2011/2012, we might as well get used to seeing them as aftermarket items too - and probably likely to be LED's as standard....so negative references to Audi etc is just nonsense, as they will all be similar to that. Chris

if i was to add the day time running lights i would rather go RRS style if they do a FL2 version, when it comes into force

True but Audi's LED do look special like cow horns.

I too think these daylights will all be LEDs but there are many possibilities like LED bars, LEDs inside headlamps etc. Freelander 2 SE 4Td Izmir Blue, Dog cage for Alaskan Malamute, iphone Navigon Navigator

I'm not sure every car will adopt LED's. The Mk VI Golf is using a normal bulb for the DRL's in anticipation of the law change. As will all new models launched between now and then.

I agree. It makes it look like an MPV rather than SUV. Each to their own though! Whistle Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass
