LED Leakage voltage?

Just fitted LED festoon light to internal roof light. When the switch is in door open setting I notice a small of light emittied by diodes when the door is closed and the dimming has completed. If I switch the setting to off there is no light emitted.

Concerns are:

1. Will this drag my battery down?
2. Is the switch supposed to allow current flow?

Many thanks to all who can help

Hello up north. Southern jessey here.

I had same concern with mine when first fitted. Notice it more now it gets darker earlier. There is always a small glow from mine when set in the "come on when the door opens" position. Goes off when you switch the switch to off. Had has no affect on the battery, in fact the red blinking alarm light probably has more of a draw of power. If you put a meter over the contacts in the "come on when doors open" position it will show 12 volts but the current drain is less than an amp. Que all you techi electrical dudes who will translate into techi language.

Left my baby in Bristol airport for a week recently and started first time so I have no concerns over the bulbs. I have total of 5 LED's fitted in various locations

Hope this helps

He's lucky then, some people are loosing their houses to make way for it Shocked , this bypass has been talked about for the last 50 years, so if the speed of Aberdeen council is anything to go by, he'll be ok for the next few hundred years anyway Laughing ______________________
