The battery in my LR2 SE died a couple of days ago. After getting the car back, the window behavior has changed...

I can get all 4 windows to auto-down (go all the way down if I briefly hold the "down" button), but they don't do "auto up" at all...

Anyone else seen this behavior?

Back to the dealer we go...

The windows need to be reset. Really quick and simple and involves keeping your finger on the button (for each window) for a certain time. Somone else will come in and give the exact details but they are in the manual if you want to look them up. Would look myself but I've borrowed the wifes Corsa today (small compact in your language)
No need to return to dealers. This happens when battery power is cut

Window reset
The windows will need to be reset if the battery
is disconnected, becomes discharged, or
power supply is interrupted.
Reset as follows :-
1. Close the window fully.
2. Release the switch, then lift it to the close
position and hold for two seconds.
3. Open the window fully.
4. Release the switch, then push it to the
open position and hold for two seconds.
5. Lift and release the switch to operate the
one touch function.
6. Repeat the procedure on each window.

is this the same for the sunroof? my sunroof has stopped auto opening/closing.

Yep, you nailed it... Resetting the windows fixed the auto-up...

(the concept of "window reset" still seems like a strange thing, but this procedure did the trick)

I found this thread after a search and..... I've read my handbook but I still have a problem.

When I try to follow the listed procedure with my drivers door I don't get very far:

I close window fully and release switch.......... as soon as I pull the switch to hold for 2 secs..... the window shoots down so I fail at the first hurdle.

I've tried several times.

Any suggestions??

Presently when I try to close the drivers window it closes and then shoots down to half open. Other windows working OK.

Sounds like it may be hitting an obstruction, this is probably what it'd do, as a safety feature, haven't tried at putting my hand in the window and closing it.

Could be a dealer visit, to find out the problem.

From the manual:

Overriding anti-trap protection
Anti-trap protection will stop window movement if an obstruction or resistance is detected. Check the window and it's aperture and remove any obstructions, ice, etc. If it is still necessary to raise the window, the override
procedure is as follows :-
1. Attempt to close the window, anti-trap will prevent closure and lower the window slightly.
2. Within ten seconds attempt to raise the window again, anti-trap will prevent closure and lower the window slightly.
3. Attempt to close the window for a third time, this time hold the switch in the close position. The window will raise whilst the switch is held. Hold until closed.

It also notes: If this procedure fails to remove the blockage, the window operation may need to be reset. (which is the procedure given in earlier posts)

Just cured mine as well.

Oh what a great forum..mine's started playing up a bit now...going up and down when you try to close the drivers window..now I know the fix

I had the same problem early on, when i got the car, but as i was going for a first checkup that week, they sorted it for me.

Anyway, now i know what to do if it ever happens again.
