I'd be a little careful about that. As far as I understand, at least in the UK, if xenons are fitted they're required to be self-levelling. I'm unsure as to whether an MOT would pick this up but it may. If out of alignment and stopped for it I'd guess there could be some problems for not complying with Construction and Use...

This has been covered a number of times. You do not need to have self levelling. However if self levelling is fitted it must work.My car has factory xenons retro fitted without self levelling and it passed it's last MOT just fine.

The conditions for them to be legal seemed to include a levelling system whether within lamps or via suspension. Don't know how this corresponds (or not) to MOT test requirements. 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

That seems to be for HID Conversion Kits, not the actual complete HID Headlight which identical to the factory fit ones.

Agreed the HID Kits need to be banned, the glare from some are downright dangerous.
