P007A-17 charge air cooler temperature sensor circuit

From what I have googled this is the IAT sensor which apparently for my year of FL2 2011 is mounted on the side of the throttle housing, moved to be part of the MAF sensor from 2013.

However unable to find any information regarding if it is a simple job to replace the sensor on the throttle body without removing it , does anyone know if this can be changed without removing the throttle body.

thank you.

symptoms are intermittent hesitation when driving, crank sensor changed as until yesterday no DTC were stored, yesterday car finally when into reduced engine performance and was able to get DTC.
reduced engine performance cleared by turning engine on and off DTC shown as intermittent.

This is the part as far as I know.

I just replied on old thread…..
Can’t see a sensor on my 2012 SD4…….
Hopefully someone will post a picture of said sensor on the T/valve

From you symptoms …which I have had for years on my FL2….only during summer…temp above 20 deg.
Well documented……MAF /MAT sensors…..finally going Reduced Performance…..as you have…. I replaced T/C hose to T/hsg……but hesitation reappeared May not too serious…no DTCs……but the weird thing is : as I posted, battery suddenly failed …after 15 months….I replaced it & since replacement end of May this year no hesitation/stuttering…….despite having 35+ deg…………! As I have said many times “ they are weird motors”. I suggest you have a really good look at the turbo hoses from turbo to inlet manifold….& you could try disconnecting MAF to see if hesitation persists………there must be something wrong if you are getting Reduced Performance……. FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current

Thank you, battery was changed in January so hopefully not that.

99.9% temperature related was out late last night at midnight temperature was 14 degree c and the car performed perfect on a quite a long journey. Symptoms, hesitation, normally show on most journeys.

It was about 30 plus degrees midday when it went into reduced engine performance. But I was happy to see it as could finally get a DTC for an intermittent fault that has previously shown no DTC and bern ongoing for a few weeks now.

Having lifted the bonnet and looked the best I can around the throttle body it looks like a black plastic blanking plug is where the IAT sensor should be, can not see any sensor or wires going to the plastic.

anyone know what the blanking plate should look like ie should it be made of plastic.

The MAF sensor has four wires so hopefully that is dual purpose as some information suggests via google.

I hate cars 😂
