noticed the cap was off what I assume to be where Aircon was regaased a couple of weeks back. Screwed it back, but should I worry?

My question really, was - if the cap was left off the Aircon regas (I've now put it back on and tightened i)t, does it matter it was off for a couple of weeks?

Strange thing but a friend of mine had his Land-Cruiser à/con checked a few weeks ago ….& the technician left thé cap off…..after repressurising system…..no big deal because it’s a valve…thé cap just stops dirt ingress…..sloppy workmanship though……!

Its just a dust cap like a tyre valve. Nothing to worry about. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
