I repeat this post as the OP RPA, in the link above, had the right approach and persistence to work his way through this complicated system. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 83k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

No special tools 15mm for tensioner and I think 10mm for pulley clutch |

Have you tested the clutch on the replacement unit with a 12 volt feed? At 8.5 ohms it might be out of spec - but there again a couple of ohms additional resistance (on an inductive) load could easily be down to poor connections between the multimeter probe and the coil terminals. Is your eBay-sourced unit brand new or used? |

Thanks you for your reply. It is used and operates with 12v - Iβm just a bit wary of fitting the part if itβs likely to fail shortly. I appreciate your feedback. |

Just the clutch coil. Pretty easy - probably about an hour in total. |

Thanks - fortunately the air con clutch can be replaced without removing the compressor or pipes |
