Useful tip for the RAC man and any other freelander 2 Auto owners....

if the car won't start and you need to get it in neutral pry up the silver gear selector surround..(its just clipped in) , lift it as far up as poss and you'll see a bright yellow plastic tab amongst all the wires/connectors. This is the neutral select for when the car is dead. Move it and the car will be put in neutral

Most recovery companies know this but not all, could save any in the future poss transmission damage.

I'm out of ideas, i checked the timing again today and the pins went straight back in.

throttle body looks fine, gears are still in good condition and the valve is open.

other than enough pressure in fuel rail & signal from the cam/crank shaft. what else is required for the injectors to trigger?

there are still 0 error codes in SDD

As you have carried out such a lot of work, I take it that you have seen the detailed description of the Fuel System that starts on page 992 of the Repair Manual and Wiring Diagrams.
If you look at the Repair Manual pages after the description has a fault finding guide.
https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic10621.html

PS I have read your posts yet again and see that you do mention a manual, sorry if this is the Repair Manual and this is irrelevant.

PPS Have you tried Googling 'Freelander 2 Non Start Fuel Pressure Problems' as there are quite a few Videos and other tips for checking fuel system.
example
 FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 82k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Thank you Ian, i just had a read through that document, it says that the running pressure in the rail should be between
3,336 + 23,206 psi

my car is getting up to about 4500psi.

is this enough?
