Cill repair

Are cill repair panels available?

My father in law's FL2 failed it's MOT due to the cills being too rusted. From a very quick look they don't look that bad, but have gone through at the rear end.

Is it possible to purchase a repair panel or are they not worth it? Is it easier just to go with cutting out the worst and welding in patches as necessary?

Thanks

Rimmer Bros sell replacement panels BUT are very expensive, probably cheaper to get a skilled bodyshop to cut out and fabricate a patch panel?

Hi, my offside sill and lower wheel arch was showing early signs of rust a couple of
years back, my sprayer had good a good panel fabricator working with him,
who made up all the parts required at a far lower price than pressed out ones,
I do hope your father in law recovers soon. Wink DAVE.
