AutO Gearbox Out Oil Change

Folks
Am having the crankshaft seal replaced - and as such have to drop the gearbox.
My question is - as the box is out, is it easy to replace the oil? Is there any other jobs that can be done whilst the box is out -
Had the PTU replaced by Bell Engineering so the gearbox seals have been done.

I have a 2.2 DS - however I know this is very similar to the Freelander 2 - plus this forum is many time better that the DS forums.

Many Thanks

They'll have to drain the gearbox before removal so this will be changed.
Out of interest have you been given a price for this job?
May have to replace my torque converter which will mean box removal and it would be sensible to have crankshaft seal changed while in there. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

The £580 seems reasonable. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
