England 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black
An easy solution, and a little bonus!

We had been noticing a new noise in the last few days. A rumbling sound that happened when braking and accelerating, just for a second or two.
We are going away next week so I thought it best to take a look.

It turned out to be something rolling about in the engine undertray. I managed to spot it, and fished it out using a magnet from the side.
It was a 19mm deep impact socket! It can't be mine, as I've never had one of those. I have now though.

So, the question is... what job under the bonnet would need a 19mm deep socket? Anyone care to guess? My other car is a Mitsuoka

Had you taken it anywhere to have any work done on it recently? 19mm could be for track control arms? 2013 FL2 XS.

We've only had the car a few months, and so haven't had to take it to be fixed as yet. Track control arms seems a good suggestion, but at 22000 miles?
