Same chunky, upright style as thé Yeti…..with nice big side windows like thé FL2…..
So many cars very similar…..like the Jaycoo J7…..made by China’s largest car maker Chery, launched in SA à year ago…..looks a lot like à Velar, especially rear view……not surprising I suppose since Chery have been assembling & selling RRs in China for the last few years…..
I have only seen one on the road, only in traffic so couldn’t have a close look…..looks like an American pick-up from the front….Velar or DS /Evoque from rear. Road tests say it’s a bit noisy with 1.6 petrol, bumpy suspension….bit tinny I guess. Thé top-of-range 4WD hybrid with 700ml range ( so says advert)
could be half-decent…..price well below Defender Sport….I imagine.

I passed a camouflaged Defender last Friday. Noticed it was on a "24" plate. First thing I thought was an "all electric Defender on test, perhaps". It was wearing the usual Land Rover Camouflage, but the headlights were fully exposed and it was definitely a Defender rather than this new "Sport" version. I'll go through my dash cam footage and try and find it and post a pic - unless it's been deleted.

I have often wondered why the Car Makers use this 'Camouflage?' covering.

That’s what I was told by a JLR Technician that I spoke to in our village near thé JLR Reseach Centre at Gaydon, south Warwickshire in about 2005, when they first introduced the squiggly camouflage wrap.
Interesting place, à massive facility, well hidden in the countryside with a fantastic motor museum.
Aston Martin are on the same site. We lived in the area 2004-2021 so I saw & heard lots of prototypes/ test mules, full of gauges……interesting. Bizzare that these vehicles end up being crushed….I would have liked one…….. FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current
