Hi all,

Recently got my hands on a 2008 TD4 S Freelander 2 at auction since I've been carless for a year. The only problem at the time I thought was a large windscreen crack. So I had it replaced. And there was a leak. And I took it back to be fixed (which seems to have fixed the majority of the water ingress), but some is still getting in. The windscreen has been resealed and water tested so I doubt its that at this point. the main damp areas seem to be where the head liner joins the A Pillar and the left side of the dip in the head liner where the roof light is mounted above the centre console. Water seems to get in predominantly when the car is left facing down hill.

I don't suppose anyone has had this problem before or has any advice?

P.S. I don't have a Sun Roof (Since it seems most leak issues are to do with that in the Freelander 2)

Roof leaking without a sunroof? First place i'd check is the roof bolts under the plastic tabs where a roof rack would be fitted. I recall some posts about one being missing and letting in water

This, or if it already has roof rails fitted, check the front mount fittings. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

If there is a hole. Just use a 12mm (or thereabouts) M6 bolt. Wrap the thread with some plumbing teflon tape. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
