Ride height, any specifications for this?

Hi,

I swapped my -07 FL2 for a -08 recently due to several reasons. It was defenitly worth it, but seems like I have to take he same route for this one regarding maintenance and repairs as its mileage is around the same as my previous -07 had when I bought it 8 years ago.

Regarding ride height, are there any specifications / dimensions to be found?

Looking at the car, it seems a bit high on the rear but not sure if this is any issue. The rear shocks need to be replaced as they feels worn (an extra "bounce" when driving over speed bumps etc.). They have been replaced earlier but cheap shockers have been used (Japan Parts). They are stamped 01/21 so have probably sat on the car for less than 4 years. The rear springs may have been replaced for all I know, so one of the reasons to check ride high as that bastard might have fitted wrong after markets for all I know Wink
Any advice would be greatly appreciated Smile

The Freelander 2 is always higher on the rear compared to the front. I've seen them sit level, but that's a sign the rear springs have lost rate. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Thanks a lot for your replies. Did a quick measurement. Measured within spec on the rear, but 465mm on the front. So, rear springs has probably been replaced earlier, but not on the front which is sagging a bit. That explains a lot. Will replace rear shockers with top mounts only this time.

I guess it will just be a matter of time before the front springs break and need replacement, refering to the history of my old car. That one had the front springs replaced at a time, but never replaced the rears, which explains why them looks different Wink
