Rear Bumper Protection

Has anybody got ideas for protecting the painted edge of the rear bumber beyond the slotted protection pad? Dogs have already scratched the exposed area!

Thanks

There is a clear film available that is made by 3M and called Venture Shield or something similar, it's meant for the front and the wings and a few members of RRSport.co.uk have fitted it with good results. I think Halfrauds now sell the kits too so you could cut one of the pieces to suit the rear bumper

My dogs live in a cage when they are in the car (lintran). I have a piece of thin rubber sheet that fits under the cage and unrolls over the edge of the bumber when they get in and out so that they (usually) dont touch the paintwork. The matting came from Lintran also.

Can recommend this for the back of the FL2. A condition of buying the FL2 was that this would fit in the back, it does with just mm's to spare ... we carry two med sized dogs in this comfortably.

pelyma,

I can't remember the model number of the Lintran cage that I have. It could be a DB6 - tho' not certain. It is a mesh high top version designed to fit the X-Trail. It fits the aperture of the FL2 with about 1 cm to spare at the top (just enough!) In the FL2 I have to fold the back seat down. But thats cheaper than replacing the cage. In any event I wouldn't want one much smaller because the dogs wouldn't fit inside comfortably (lab and boxer). Great cages, very strurdy and they keep all the slaver in one place!

Lintran are the bus, I have a DB10 in the D3, we might have to go the Barjo tailgate route this time, we carry 5 whippets at a time, but only short distances in the Fl - holidays are taken with the D3 as it is a tad bigger! D4 HSE Lux for me
FL2 HSE Zermatt & Alpacca for the wife now gone
Skoda Yeti L&K for the wife.
