To my knowledge, my year class came with the 180 amp because of the heated windshield but I have a si6 engine. My understanding is that future models came with 200+ amps for a different engine type. Why not call up any LR parts dept and give them your VIN and let them tell you what options are available with part #s and then go do some comparison shopping?

The part number for the 180A is LR031223. FCPEuro has them for $321, new. "If I can't fix it, I can fix it so it can't be fixed"

Im going To replace my alternator to 07 plate car whit out heated windshield.

Local part seller sells 150amp alternator, and there is mention " whit out heated windshield and 180amp for heated version.

Is there some particular reason why this 180 amp would not fit to 07plate? If i get few More years for MOT i Could recycle alternator to my other 10plate whit heated version.

You can use the 150 amp for both, it works even with heated windshield. If you don't have a heated windshield, it's overkill.

180 amps for my car. If I got the cold pack it would be 210 amps.

When I run my 3 compressors they use up to 90 amps. But it's only a few minutes. I do turn off everything in the car like hi-fi, air conditioning etc to reduce load while running them. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
