Hi all,
I have a strange noise coming from the belt side of the engine. It sounds like a rubbing/scraping sound but only happens for the first few mins from cold start. After about 5 mins of driving it's gone.

It's a 2013 reg 2.2. I'll see if I can upload a video

During the first few minutes the alternator will be under load recharging the battery.
Try searching for the many posts on site regarding the Alternator and its one way clutch/pulley.

The Alternator (one-way clutch) Pulley is a likely thing to check, especially if you have any noises on overrun. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
