Lewis Hamilton to join Ferrari

It has been circulating all over the internet that Lewis Hamilton is going to join Ferrari in 2025. If it happens, do you think this is the right move for the driver and the team?

I doubt it is cut and dried,Ferrari were slower than Mercedes over race distance at the end of the season, so if this years Mercedes is a winner and Ferrari isn't it won't happen, he wants 8 or even better 9 world championships.
It will be interesting to see if both cars are uncompetitive what his decision is and whether to go to Ferrari or retire. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I think all F1 drivers have an ambition to be dressed in red before they retire ( Ferrari Red that is)

I think Hamilton's best days as a driver are behind him. Unless Ferrari are going to make significant gains in performance this season I can't see him doing anything worthy of note next year, and I hope he never surpasses Schumachers 7 world titles.
A Hamilton fan I am most definitely not. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Is F1 dying ? - I dont know anyone that is interested in watching it these days. Maybe the loss of free-to-view is a factor.

Or perhaps we were never die-hard fans in the first place. Jules

There are still many that watch it, but as you say pay to view has cut down those watching or apparently watching on TV and on line, the VPN is your friend.
Pay to view is an American import and it is not so popular in Europe and the rest of the world, certainly a few sports have lost support since selling out to pay to view my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I think Hamilton is giving Mercedes one more 'kick up the bum' before he moves. Ferrari is his retirement plan.

I still consider myself a big fan of F1. Never miss a race. There was certainly more drama in years gone by when engines were on the limit of performance and only had to last one race (but often didnt), screaming v12s and v10s etc. Drivers like Senna, Prost, Mansell and Schumacher were fabulous to watch and the commentary by the late great Murray Walker will never be forgotten.
It's a changing and evolving sport but I still love it. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Love him or hate him imagine the advertising revenue he must bring with him for a team.

I can still remember Lewis Hamilton from his GP2 days, this drive proved how quick he was and would become.

This was my post at the time

I remember seeing Lewis Hamilton in a GP2 race where following an incident that left him trailing the field, he overtook car after car, in quick succession, to regain his position.
It was very impressive and I knew then he was a special driver, as he went on to win the GP2 Championship, in his first and only year in that category.

I have found a clip and other info -- It was in Turkey

I still am a great fan of F1 and Formula E, both are included in my Virginmedia Package.

I have left the F1 video block in post as it does show how the world is being taken over by the Pay-To-View Merchants.[/i]

Try finding my Post in this Thread for clip ( It works for me???)
