3.2 Bearing Seal Part Number & Installation Tips

Hey guys

I have a 2008 3.2 Volvo XC90 with a Bearing Seal leaking oil.

I have try finding it (Part No.) on Engine diagrams/Schematic but I dont find the part number.

This Seal Bearing goes on the Exhausts Cam and its on the left side of the engine.

Please check the Video & Photos. I mark it with a arrow.

Also:

1) There is not space to work there removing/installing this Bearing Seal. Any advise how to do this job? The only thing that comes to my mind is to rise the engine.

2) Is there is a DIY You Tube Video or Forum Post that show how to replace this bearing seal

3) Right now is not leaking to much but my garage floor have oil

4) What about using a Stop Oil Leak Additive (Lucas, Liqui Moly)

Thx for your Time & Help

Isaac

BTW The photos are NOT my engine. Is just to show you the Bearing Seal Location

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Rimini Red

Those end plugs are normally placed in the head while to top cover is off. You won't normally be able to replace them without removing the top cover.

Take a look at the maintenance manual for more information on how to replace it. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

Hey Nodge68

Thx For your fast reply.

Where can I get the maintenance manual for more information on how to replace it.

Do you know the Plugs part number

Since that is a small leak, do you think I can use a Stop Oil Leak Additive (Lucas, Liqui Moly)

Thx & Rgds
