MY11 SD4 XS Auto

I recently replaced the small (Approx 6”) hose from the throttle body to the L shaped plastic elbow of the Intercooler pipe with a replacement from Amazon. The hose was of good quality if not very tight to fit to the throttle body. The car drives ok now with no hissing or restricted performance which I got when the hose split. The problem is, the Turbo Boost will not go over 22psi, it actually flatlines on it exactlty. I have measured the Live Data with two separate diagnostics tools. I’ve seen from monitoring before the hose split that the psi has gone up to 29, so i know something isn’t right.
Do I need to do an Airpath recalibration/reset or is it possible that I didn't get the new hose on at the correct angle or am i just way off the mark

Mine has never gone above 22PSI (Measured with Torque and a Carista, so no guarantee of accuracy.)
Are you sure you weren't overboosting because of a boost leak and you've just fixed the problem?

I don't know, just hazarding a guess.

The boost pressure on a TD4 is normally 17 PSI, but can rise to up 25 PSI for short periods of over boost under certain conditions. Boost and over boost are controlled by the ECM.

I'm not sure about the SD4 boost pressure, but it would likely be similar to the TD4, maybe a couple of PSI higher on over boost. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

Thanks for your replies. There was about a 1” split in the hose but it wasn’t a complete cut. The Webbing was still in place and I’m guessing from your responses that it probably was Overboosting for quite a while and only recently got bad enough to keep throwing it into Restricted Performance. The performance in terms of acceleration etc. is as it should be, so I guess I’ll stop worrying.

22 PSI is the limit figure asked by the engine ECU. In general you wont see a figure above 22 PSI.
Which translates to about 2.5 bars absolute pressure.

Thanks for your input. You are legendary on this forum and telling me that 22 Psi is the limit controlled by the ECU is good enough for me. I’m now happy knowing that everything is working as it should be and any previous readings were abnormal as a result of the busted hose.
