Just driven it from Edenhope in Victoria to Darwin NT ,over 3000k in 3 1/2 days did not miss a beat and returned 8.2 l/100k with 2000k in the Territory sitting between 120 and 130 kph 09 freelander

Lets hope the Grenadier is as reliable as the FL2.

Id be interested to know what you the think of the Grenadiers driving position as the RHD versions have a footwell intrusion from the transmission which has received some negative comments on the internet.
LHD versions are not affected. Jules

I have been lucky enough to have driven a prototype last year and the footwell was not an issue, I was very impressed with the comfort and off road ability but had no intentions one way or the other as to buying one , the clincher was the Missus a few days later said "no more overseas trips and I will go halves ". Ordered it straight away as those offers don't come along very often . Reviews of vehicles that have landed all seem good and the foot well generally does not get a negative mention . We will be tacking a demo model for a drive early next month which should be interesting as that particular prototype was not fully complete as the production model (no traction control, hill decent ect). I will give an update after the drive . 09 freelander

Thanks
I know of a chap who just sold his back to the dealership, claiming the footwell was uncomfortable. But I think he just sold it to make a quick profit. Jules
