Maybe corrosion in one of the plugs. Unplug & replug all the way back to the fuse box.

If it was noisy, then it's almost certainly the fold transmission has failed. Unfortunately it's not available separately, so a complete mirror is needed. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Manually fold the body of the mirror to the front and then to the back, then to it's 'set' position.

Thanks for the replies - nothing seems to work so I'm guessing a new mirror unit is needed. |

I had to buy a new mirror a couple of years ago and, surprisingly, I found Euro Car Parts the cheapest. That may have changed, of course, but worth checking out. |
