RAC or Adrian Flux

Wee bit of a quandary. I recently won “letter of the month” in the LRO magazine.
Nice surprise. Winning prize is a £99 voucher from Adrian Flux for road recovery. Can be used only with AF recovery. My dilemma is my RAC recovery is coming up for renewal with 20 years membership.
Is it worth changing from RAC for £99 against what my renewal will be?
Don,t know yet my renewal figure but over the years I have had three call-outs, all very well attended to.
I usually have a go with them and get a wee bit off or extra months added on.
Thoughts please Jim A

Is there even any benefit or bonus for having been with RAC for 20 years? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Will the RAC suspend your membership for 6 months or a year, that will allow you to use your £99 voucher, and then go back.

I know that the AA will allow you to suspend, normally to allow use any warranty/recovery that comes with buying a car, after which you can return to what ever was left of the original policy.

My AA membership is presently in suspension whilst I am using LR Recovery with my extended warranty.

rac will suspend membership, keep it because being a long term member can have benefits, especially if you have a dispute.

Please do not forget that you are buying an insurance policy, so if the RAC is advertising a cheap policy for NEW people then they have to offer you the same price/terms.

I found this out late last year when I renewed my long term membership for about half the price that that originally advised me of.

This should apply also to AA, Green Flag etc.

I hope this helps someone else. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black
