M6 Toll rd

Coming down from Scotland for LR factory tour in April
Advice please. Will be staying in Solihull area.
Is it better to use the M6 toll rd or just stay on the M6.
Have plenty of time and also an old miserable tight fisted Scottish person.
Thoughts please.. Jim A

You sort of answered your own question really… plenty of time, miserable tight fisted Scot…

Stay on the M6 - use up some of that excess time, intensify your misery and save your money all in one go. What's not to like there?

In reality, the M6 is ok when it is moving - just avoid the morning and evening ‘rush hours'.

Thumbs Up

Sydney is the most tolled place in the world. I avoid them like the plague. Also parking meters. It's decades since I have fed either. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I frequently drive up the M6 to North Yorkshire from the Coleshill area. Have not used the M6 toll for 7 years. Unless you are speeding on the toll road it saves little time providing you are not in rush hour, when the M6 can get very busy. Jules

Reggie, thanks for the reply. I have to keep up the vision our southern cousins have of us Scots.
Jules, I am not in a hurry, all day to come down to Solihull. Thank you and I will just stay on M6.
Thanks again Jim A
