With the permission of the mods, I thought that it might be a good idea to start a rolling thread on the best current deals on Freelander tyres. After all, in these recession hit times its something that 'most'' owners will have to buy at some point in their ownership.

The prices of a set of 4 tyres can vary by as much as £200.......this is too much money to waste and one of the points of these forums is to save owners money.

So as not to upset anyone, it might be a good idea to post your recent good deals etc with prices only and if a member is interested then they can PM you to get details.........unless someone else has a better idea.

I will start the ball rolling by saying that the best deal that ive found so far for Wranglers 235/60/18 is £170.56 fitted (still too much in my opinion).

Just had Wranglers (17")put on the rear by Kwik Fit - Quoted £160 each but the invoice to my leasing company showed £262.40 for the pair.

Look on line as the prices are cheaper than if you just turn up and ask for immediate service. FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

Whats wrong with telling the whole tale with prices and places
The only people that may get upset are the over priced sellers  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

It was just a thought to not upset any sponsors etc but it is better to put the name of the company etc.
Anything to save fellow owners a few quid has got to be a great idea.

......absolutely It may even be worth bringing my Freely to the UK to get a tyre swap when the time arrives. Tyre prices here are pretty high  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

My local dealer in Baldock, Herts have quoted the following prices for single tyres. (Better deals on sets of 4 i would hope)

All are 235/60/18

Goodyear Wrangler = £153
Pirelli = £181
Conti = £173

These prices are all inclusive Discovery Sport Hse Lux, Santorini Black, Ivory Leather Interior, Factory Privacy Glass, removable tow bar.

I just got four new Wranglers for the price of a phone call, well all I had to do was ring the leasing office and they arranged it.

Seriously though, I don't get to see the invoices so can't comment on the cost, I made a call to the fleet office about 4pm yesterday, the tyres were fitted at my home address home by KwikFit mobile, the job was complete by 1.30pm today. So can't fault the prompt service.

(Oh, did I mention I got 54,700 miles from the original Wranglers !) Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor ... but not any more ... ... psst look at my gallery!

The site I've found quotes Cooper Discoverer ATR for £84.73 per tyre, inc VAT and delivery, but excluding fitting, which I've been quoted between £10 -15 per tyre, possibly cheaper if you know a friendly garage, I thought this was a bargin.

Looks ok but they only give you two type of tyre to fit mine (265/65/17) Hankook and Cooper (?)

Tried website BlackCircles before and found them ok.

Just got 2 Goodyear Wrangler 235/60 18V 103 fully fitted for £149 each
