Radio and Sat Nav cuts out then restarts

We have had a few electrical issues in the past few months with both front doors locks failing at the same time and the DPF air switch became intermittent and caused reduced speed..

We have now started to see the radio and sat nav screen cut in and out randomly. We took it to the garage and they found a audio code and cleared it, but its still doing it.

Any ideas - the battery is about 2yrs old.

Update for you all on the issue - I had the cambelt replaced and the engineer lowered the driver seat down......and must have knocked or bent a cable...... moved seat up and problem all gone away...... Thumbs Up

I don't have a satnav, but the display has cut out randomly since I got the can new but restarts pretty quickly. Initially I thought it was when we had 40°C days (which you are getting now), but to-date can't work out what causes it. Doesn't happen that often.

A bigger problem is windows going down when you close them on corrugated roads with an oncoming car producing clouds of dust. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Sounds like you have a dodgy earth point developing.

Until you have collected a history, including error codes, it will be hard to say where to look.

A good start is to look under the passenger's side carpet, there are some earth points there which can become damaged or corroded.

Does it restart showing the LR logo then go off again and keep repeating?
If so it's usually a dodgy Bluetooth module or another module connected via the MOST ring. Another common fault!
