iCarsoft

Hey everyone,

After looking thru the forum for tips and help, i stumbled across the thread detailing spare parts to carry. I noticed mention of the iCarsoft I930, and i was wondering if this was a straightforward purchase? I suppose i really mean which one am i buying?

Cheers everyone,

atb

Bob

Yes, that's the one I have. Covers all Freelander 2. Easy to use.

There’s also the icarsoft LR V1.0, which appears to be an updated version of the i930 and is the same price. Has anyone tried the LR V1.0? Which is the one to get?

i have the iCarsoft LR V3.0 which is presumably an upgraded LR V.2.0 which is presumably an upgraded LR V1.0…

No idea what the differences are between each version - price wise or feature wise but the thread has prompted me to check and install any software updates.

The LR 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 appear to be different models with different handsets and slightly different functionality, at price points ranging from £100 to £160. The 1.0 looks compact and could live permanently in the glovebox, whilst the others are bulkier.

Icarsoft CR max.
Covers most manufacturers including JLR. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

I've just got myself an iCarsoft v2.0 LR vie the bay of e and it seems a good bit of kit.

I've just used it to give me the ATF temp which I had to do by telling it the vehicle was an Evoque....

I had read this about another type of diagnostic reader too.

I bought the V1.0 which I discovered didn’t read the ATF temp although the description from the vendor said it did. iCarsoft sent me a software update/patch that fixed it.
