I've finally made a start at fixing a few things.

I want to get the FL2 back up and running in 4 wheel drive.

I'm going to strip the front end down to get the PTU off.

I've started at the other end though. I've removed the Haldex unit and the prop shaft.

I wanted to remove the haldex unit to service that whilst I was at it and I have the service kit etc. I wanted it off so it could be a rainy day / Dark evening job in the garage to service it.

I figured for the sake of a few bolts that the prop shaft was easier to remove right out of the way.

So now the rear diff is open to the elements, can I maneuver the FL2 around? I'm not talking of going for a drive but can I move off the ramps etc?

Also I take it that once I have tried the haldex unit, if I haven't touched the front, then it could be run properly on the road without the prop? I presume it would be the same as I've been with the fault?

Is long as rotating components are secured, then you can maneuver it about. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I suppose you could duct tape over the haldex housing on the rear diff to keep dust out . Jules
