IIRC there is info about the horns in the JLR manual - they are activated via a computer - not connected directly to the stalk as in the old days. Jules |

The horns are twin tone, like all LRs and Rovers too. It's a kind of British tradition to use 2 horns of different tones, which create an urgent kind of sound. Presumably the replacement horn that was fitted wasn't the correct one. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Hyundai Ionic 5 Ultimate on order. |

Always fitted air horns to previous cars but the twins on the Freelander seem to be loud enough. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

You could knock up your own PVC train horn.
