The Temptation Is Strong

So, some of you will know I passed on my "trusty" FL2 for a Disco Sport a while back. The DS was so spectacularly unreliable I gave up on Land Rover altogether and got a brand new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Which for all intent and purpose is perfect for what I need and is reliable.

But. I had a random dream last night that I got back into my old FL2 and I was hooked.

Now I can't get it out my head 🤣 I could sell the PHEV and get the newest, highest spec FL2 with plenty to spare.

Please remind me of all the reasons I should never go back 🤣🤣🤣 Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
Proper upgrade to FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental

I can’t think of any reason not to sell and get another FL2😁 I have had a lot of nice cars over the years and my current one, a SD4 HSE Lux, is by far the nicest drive. Quick enough, all the toys I need and some I didn’t realise I needed, drives like it did when new, comfortable and deals with the farm tracks this country calls roads with ease. Get one whilst you can still find a good one👍

What pleases me is the fact that there are some sane people around who see the value of Freelander instead of the euro battery also known as an EV Shocked

Don't get me wrong. The PHEV is a great car. It really is. But it's not a Freelander. Just got a real craving for big and gruff again. Learned to drive in 2011.

For me i like the sound of the engine working hard...it gives the vehicle soul. I also like that i can service it myself and its not so specialist that only the experts can sort it Thumbs Up
