New Engine Oil

Don't know if anyone else has tried this engine oil from Smith and Allen of Darlington. I used another variant for our diesel Clio and it appears to be very good quality.

As you are purchasing direct from the manufacturer, the prices are very good. They appear to do blends for almost all manufacturers, including motorcycles.
The one I have just used, meets or exceeds the requirements for the Freelander 2. Take a look at their website or eBay shop. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Ditto

S&A was established in 1925.

I use Smith & Allan Momentum C1 F 5W-30 - Fully Synthetic Engine Oil as my FL2 requires C1, WSS-M2C934-B SAE 5W-30

As well as engine and gearbox oils they do antifreeze and PAS fluid too. They didnt do haldex oil the last time I checked. Jules

Purchased mine from their eBay shop. At the time I didn't know anything about them or their website. I thought that was a very good price compared to the Mobile 3000 I usually use. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

They also have a technical dept from where you can get answers about oil specs and compatibility

https://www.smithandallan.com/ask/

They also do their own chainsaw chain oil and a WD40 look-alike. Jules

That's interesting about the chainsaw oil. I assume it has never done any harm using the old engine oil. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
