Will this Range Rover 2010 - Dual View ICE Satnav come to FR

Next year's Range Rover is getting a makeover and for the gadget and tech lovers it's a veritable feast.
The SatNav/DVD display in the centre console uses a special lens system on the screen's display the system displays navigation and other information to the driver whilst displaying a movie to the front seat passenger.

Will we see this in next FREEL 2 too?

I doubt it

You'd see it in the RR Sport and the Disco 4 first - only then would it hit the bottom LR model Steve N | 21MY Defender (on order) | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I PM our friendly dealer the other day on the HDD Satnav etc in the new RRS, FFRR & D4

He had not heard anything on the grape vine and will keep his ear to the ground, next big change for the FL2 will be around 2011 he thinks

I think they will get the HDD system in time, as its better for multimedia systems etc, but if you want it sooner your going to have to pay big money for the big brother FFRR (I don't think the RRS/D4 are getting this)

I saw the twin display the other week on RRSport, look s good but what will the middle rear seat passenger get a mixture of map and movie Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Presumably the big change for the FL2 in 2011 would only be a midlife facelift at the model will only be 5 years old and most manufacturers try to get at least 8 years out of a model before completely redesigning it.

npinks - rumour has it that the 'big change' for the FL2 in 2011 is one that hasnt got any faults as standard Thumbs Up  Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black
Gone - 2014 BMW X3 M Sport Space Grey, faultless!
Gone - 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Bali Blue with xenons

Anyway, the dual view is flawed on two counts 1: centre seat occupant will see a mixed screen, and 2: the rear seat occupant will only see what the driver sees*

*Unless they have DVD rear screens... Confused

and the centre seat person needs a seat and head rest too!
