You're basically buying direct from BCA with a mark-up from these guys (and little/no vehicle prep). Current driveway contents:
2021 V60 Cross Country B5
2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon

On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid.

Not so much that Freelander, (ones enough)
but I believe they are different to BCA as
once won you're still not committed to buy,
no hidden mark up either, DAVE.

They get all their stock in from BCA. Every car that has been bounced around the dealers seems to end up with them, and I've seen the same cars come up countless times after apparently being "won" for a low bid. There were a couple of Freelander 2s they were offering last year that "sold" for well under book and were miraculously relisted a week later. Almost as if "no reserve" actually means "ah sorry, you didn't bid it up to what we wanted to suddenly there's a problem with the car" Current driveway contents:
2021 V60 Cross Country B5
2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon

On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid.

I wonder how many cars put up for sale by dealers are actually sold on a commission basis. I bet its almost all of them.

Here you go - all the evidence you need to know these guys are as bent as a used pipe cleaner :

Same car "sold" by this seller on 17/10/2021 for £1,276

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284486148102?hash=item423cb22006

And again on 24/10/2021 for £1,550

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284495412268?hash=item423d3f7c2c

And once more on 07/11/2021 for £1,435

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294515897402?hash=item449283f43a

Well blow me! 18/11/2021 for £1.371

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284527789321?hash=item423f2d8509

25/11/2021 for £1,654

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284536194089?hash=item423fadc429

05/12/2021 for £1,750

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294594425513?hash=item44973232a9

And yesterday for £2,020

So when they say "with no reserve" they actually mean "you will win the auction but we won't let you have it if we deem it too cheap"

Examples of feedback to support this:

Quote:
won a car made arrangement to go and collect even after being told to wait until arrival from bca enfield was told a day before that it had been sold by mistake by an inexperienced trainee waited for the right car for 10 weeks stayed on site 3 hours before end what a waist of time never again.

Quote:
The way this transaction was handle was shameful from the seller's end. Long story short, I and the seller arranged a pick-up day. I took the day off work in advance and set off on the given day. Halfway on my journey, I called the dealership to inform them I would be there on time. Can you believe they dared to tell me the vehicle wasn't ready? I understand these things happen, but the lack of communication is just ridiculous for a business of its magnitude. I was traveling from London.

Quote:
A19 UCH - I won it, told it's gone to garage, asked for update, now relisted!

Quote:
No correspondence from seller. Made several attempts to contact

Quote:
This transaction was cancelled at seller's request. They're not reliable.

Another car they have done this with:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fsrp=1&..._dcat=9855

Loads of feedback stating cars unroadworthy on subsequent inspection, examples of damage not displayed in photos etc. As mentioned previously, these all come from BCA and they seem to use previous trader pics (the ones who realised they had a lemon so bounced it to BCA) to advertise them Current driveway contents:
2021 V60 Cross Country B5
2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon

On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid.

I not actually defending them.....
but this could well be an example of non
commitment from the winning bidder!
as said if you don't want it walk away.
I wonder how many have actually read their blurb Question Whistle
I would hasten to add I've no intention of bidding on their
site, just thought it was an interesting way of trading. DAVE.

There's a corker on Google review (nb. They are Sterling Cars in Reading)

Excerpt:

Quote:
.....Looking up Sterling cars account feedback on ebay I noticed something very very strange, my car my registration was up for auction again and had been for 2days, was this a mistake? I messaged them to ask WHY but had no reply, they tried to cancel my original transaction to avoid fees but I declined, so the poor customers whom had arrived to collect their cars but had to search the yard for a replacement issue became apparent, this is something they do to get rid of stock, advertise cars they've already sold then offer alternatives to complete a sale.

In summary, they often advertise cars they have already sold just to get customers on site so they can sell them what they *do* have.

Bristol Street Motors used to do this back in the early 1990s. Advertise stuff that had previously been very popular despite not having it in stock, then "oh, sorry, just sold and on its way to our prep building on the other side of town. Was that the sort of thing you were after? We have lots of new stock coming in......" then pile on the pressure. Horrible to watch, I was glad to leave there. Current driveway contents:
2021 V60 Cross Country B5
2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon

On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid.

After almost getting stung by that Flipping Cars crook I steer well clear of anything other than buying directly from the owner/dealership. Corrado VR6 Mystic Blue - Gone

I am not defending them at all but their ebay site is clear, after you win the auction you can go and inspect the car and decide if you want to proceed with the sale.

So clearly that particular car does not look so good on close inspection as several people have won the auction but then decided not to go ahead after they've actually seen it. They then relist the car to see if anyone else will buy it.
