United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Biscay Blue
FL2 SE - Parking System

Hi All,

My FL2 has front and rear parking sensors but nothing happens with them at all, if i press the button on the dash the light comes on for a few seconds and goes straight back off, is this a known problem? I have had a rummage on the forum but not found anything specific.
The battery was changed a few weeks back and i feel like they haven't worked since then along with the sun roof.

Thank You.

I would look at the fuses as a start.

Sunroof needs to be recalibrated, sometimes, after a power interruption.
Look in the manual for the procedure.

Parking sensors are a pain
If 1 sensor has failed it takes them all out
Likewise a broken wire in the loom
Plugging the car in and reading codes may point you in the rough direction of the problem
My 08 hse had a broken wire in the bumper harness had to strip the loom down to find it no reason for failure it was just on a straight static point and all the other wire in the same location were fine

Good luck
