Fried something electrical

Whilst messing about with my aftermarket car radio I wanted to check my old voltmeter was working correctly. Took a feed off my car radios 12v feed and earthed it to the door. This caused a spark at the door and a host or warnings to come up on my dash (had the ignition on when I did this). Warnings were hill decent and terrain response not available. After trying to start the car the hazard lights flash but the car does not try to turn over. I have tried reading the errors, 10 appeared and have reset them but the car will still not start and the errors return. Every time I now connect the battery the hazard lights flash, when I try and start the car is says it is doing the system check, brings up the hill decent and terrain error and then makes no attempt to start. Hazards will only switch off if I press the hazard button and the boot light will not turn off.

I hope I may have just broken a fuse but would expect that to cause something simply to not work, not send the lights crazy and bring up the errors. Any areas to consider would be much appreciated or any recommendations for an Auto Electrician near Leeds would also be a great help....I'm out of my depth!

I’m not good with electrics but I would check all the fuses and go from there.

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I've just done and found the fuse in the engine bay that provides power to the fusebox on the car had blown. Replaced and all sorted.
