Dead throttle body

I think my throttle body has given up the ghost, starts whistling as soo as you start the engine and no whirr whirr noise on startup or shutdown,
I have a trip to do to Reading and back tommorow (300 mile round trip) so no chance of changing it before next week, will the car be OK to drive with a knackered throttle body, not sure if it's jammed shut or open?

If it was jammed shut the engine shouldn’t start!

It'll only be a problem if it closes the throttle plate and it stick closed, as the engine won't run. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.
