United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Orkney Grey

I find the freelander much better than my old D2 with regards to splashing. The disco would put a torrent up over the bonnet. I think those spats do actually help. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I would think that would push snow as well but I am sure it works somewhat to keep smaller puddles from deluging the windshield.

In recent very wet weather I had the occasional sudden splash on the windscreen when going through lying water and to my surprise I found that with the wipers set to auto they reacted almost instantly, certainly faster, I suspect, than I could have switched them on (it wasn’t actually raining at the time - just a lot of lying water).

As they say the spectacular windscreen watersplash is a LR2 feature, and as long as you have your wipers selected to AUTO, it is there to impress.

I think that the effect is made worse be the impressive 'Approach Angle' that the LR2 has, allowing water to escape almost vertically when hit. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
