Is start/stop fitted? Manuals have S/S but not sure about Auto's? (you could update your profile with vehicle details then we'd know Wink )

Put a new battery on my Manual 14 plate earlier this year - Yuasa YBX9115 AGM which I'm very pleased with & good price from Tanya batteries online - the other often quoted recommendation is a Varta F21 AGM, both are 80 AH & fit with no issues. The 096's are generally 70 AH I believe so for me the extra 10 AH is a no brainer.

I went for the Yuasa as I have had a great experience with them over the years. Thumbs Up 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic

Hi , I am probably not in a position to give advice , I just sold my FL2 ( which I only owned for a sort time ) . I liked it that much I intend to get a newer automatic . If I was looking for a battery I would look for a Yuasa recommended for the vehicle provided it wasn't too expensive . Imho batteries are like tyres , cheapest - best avoided (if you can ) , I usually head for top of the mid range , and it works out well ! Thumbs Up

That would be an 096 I believe - but I'd personally advise to go for the 115 (YBX 9115 or the F21) - the extra 10 AH is a no brainer IMHO

If you don't have Stop/Start you don't need the AGM tho Thumbs Up 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic

Looks like a good choice for non S/S - 85 AH (also a 115 size rather than 096) there SYFL2 Thumbs Up if no Stop start on the OP's Auto then that sounds like a good choice for non AGM

Incidentally all the mentioned batteries so far (9115 Yuasa, F19 & F21) have 800 CCA - an 096 will have less I believe - 760 CCA 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic

Sounds about right for non AGM - Tanya the same price give or take a few pennies - I'd be comfortable to buy from either supplier and happy with either a Yuasa or a Varta - both are well respected Thumbs Up 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic
