Cooling Fans

Has anyone removed the cooling fan assembly on a TD4, as I am trying to replace mine and the aircon pipes etc are stopping it coming out it's close but not close enough.

Took mine out when I de flapped the inlet manifold & renewed the glow plugs. It certainly is a tight fit but brute force & ignorance won out. Refitting them is probably worse though! (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

As usual they have made a simple job hard, was hoping not to have to dismantle half the motor to do it.
Might leave it to the garage as not sure if its the fans making the noise.
