Update navigation disc

Hello folks,
The disc on my 2010 HSE Td4 is the original dated 2009-2010.
Been looking on line.
From about £25 to £40.
Can someone point me in the right direction please.
Thank you Jim A

I am running the 2017 volvo discs in mine which I burnt myself after acquiring the images. Wouldn't work at first, I had to insert disc "d" to force the update to the system software. After that the UK / France disc ( amongst other countries ) seems to work fine. I ventured on to the motorway the other day for the first time in a long time and was surprised that I got live traffic updates and that the screen counted down each motorway junction and had details for amenities at each services ( in France ). I have not really used the original disc that came with the car so can not say if the Volvo maps differ much from the land rover maps, though there is certainly more detail of the roads in rural France on the newer maps than the old.

When I did mine for the 2019/20 update I just put the new disc in the payer under the drivers seat, started the Nav and it updated itself. Took a while mind.

Updating a 2014 is different to updating a 2007 model.

The later models have a hard drive which requires a USB stick to update while the earlier ones just need the disc changing over.

Take a look at the link

Just ordered a disc from satnavishop. In my D2 I had a Tom Tom which also used as a speedometer. Easier to see and more accurate. Also changed the voice to Billy Connolly, good laugh at times. Don,t know yet if the voice can be changed on the disc.
Thanks for the suggestions. Big help. Jim A

Using a USB Stick on Gen 2.1 - YouTube

I read several comments on the Web saying that it took a long time, so I looked for an Instruction Video.

This seems to cover what really happens

Has anyone first hand experience on this?
