Both the blinds on my 08 Freelander 2 dont slide all the way back (open) is there a spring that needs replacing ??

Mine are the same. I'm guessing the springs have weakened over the years. I suspect there would be a fix, but I don't fancy pulling the headlining out to see, as I leave them closed anyway. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

That's why the spring has gone, it's under maximum tension closed, always best to leave open when not needed, they work similar to the pull down house blind but doesn't have the stop facility but are always under tension. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

ours is the same, for the rear only, guessing the front has not been used much then.
Anyway i left the rear open and it eventually winds itself back lol - guessing the bumps in the road - kids also reach in and roll it back some times Stewart
