CORDLESS PRESSURE WASHERS

Hi, has anyone direct experience of any cordless jet/pressure washers?
ie Worx or Aguri, yes I understand they do have a short run time,
but 15/20 minutes is fine
and I know all about the mains ones like Nilfisk
because I live in a 2nd floor apartment and don't have access to ground floor electrics or hose
I'm now considering cordless.
Thanks for any input. Thumbs Up

and no Lightwater I'm not going to build one into the motor.. Wink

What's wrong with an extension lead out the window? Needs to be 13A not those cheap 10A ones, the hose is a different problem , but can be overcome with a stand pipe from a hydrant. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Pretty sure it is illegal to tamper with a hydrant......completely. Regards

Ah yes. I remember the summer of '98. All those city types with their air conditioning blew the cable.

I have the Sealey PW 1217 which I think is great. It has a built in (but removable) 17 ltr water tank and a built in battery or will run from 12volt car socket. It light enough to carry about when full and a long enough hose to do one side of a big car without having to move it around. The battery lasts ages (easily 5 or 6 washes ) and it has a soap dispenser on the spray gun. Pressure wise its not that bad but not as powerful as some of the newer style cordless models like the worx but it will do everything that I need it to do. Some of the fittings are a bit brittle as I have broken a couple of bits being a bit heavy handed but spares are readily available ( and cheap ) online. I think it is marketed and sold under a few different brand names with some very minor differences. I have had it about 3 years now and still going strong and it gets regular use. Thumbs Up

As suggested, can you get power to it using an extension lead? If so, modern Kärcher washers can draw water from any source such as a 20 litre water bottle by using their suction hose.

I feed my pressure washer from a water butt. Not many people know that works.

Thumbs Up

Guy's I used have a Nilfisk washer a brilliant piece of kit,
but that has now migrated home with one of my son's to Cornwall,
the reason was storage and mains supply, which is why I'm asking about
a cordless one, they're not inexpensive around 170 > 200 just wondered
if they are worth a punt.

I use the Worx Power Share battery system, but don't have the Hydroshot.
It's not something I'd need, as I have mains electric and water outside, but if didn't, the hydroshot looks acceptable. Be aware that if it runs for 15 minutes on a 20 Volt, 37 Watt hour battery, then the pressure will be nothing like a mains powered pressure washer. There is a 40V version (takes 2 batteries), which will provide higher pressure, but similar run time. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

Why not get 2 old car batteries in parallel & an inverter. Even if it is a smaller wattage cleaner it will be a lot better than a small battery setup. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
