United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver
Camshaft Position Sensor

Anyone know what make the original cam sensor is on the 2.2 diesel. Just looked them up with LR00016847 and there are several with prices from £18to £80. As its a Peugeot engine i am trying to to find out which one they use. I don't want to buy the one in the Landrover box and pay the premium for the box.

Any help would be appreciated. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Sorry not sure who supply LR but if you look at the autodoc web site https://www.autodoc.co.uk/valeo/9385650 it shows all the other manufactures who use this sensor and there OE part numbers. I have just used valeo as an example to show them.

Found my old original one and the manufacturers part number is 96 654 435 80. I have done several searches and it would appear to be a 'Febi Bilstein' part. therefore that should be the one that was fitted at the factory and has lasted over 10 years.
I can get one from a JLR dealer in a Landrover box for £87.96 or I can go online with 'Mr Auto' which is part of the PSA group and get one for £19.70 Whistle Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

I bought a cheap one, £18 from eBay Guaranteed for 5 years, but lasted less than a year.
