Noisy tyres

Have just replaced my Conti tyres after 40k with Bridgestone Wranglers and somewhat disappointed with a significant increase in road noise with these new tyres. Anyone else experience this?

Don't ever go cheap on tyres, it's the only thing that connects you to the road.
(General observation)

Aren't there datasheets with tyre noise and stuff?
