United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Baltic Blue
Front left driveshaft

Evening guys
I’m going to replace the worn front left drive shaft on my auto FL2.
I have a couple of Q’s as well as welcoming any advice/tips on doing this (it’s the first one I have attempted).
• Is it prudent to replace the transmission oil seal at the same time? Currently it’s not leaking.
• Will I lose oil when doing the job? The manual specifies that a manual gearbox will incur oil loss (no mention of the auto).

Thanks in advance.
Si
