How about filling through the water valve?

That might work, but why not just do it the way PSA (who made the engine) and JLR say, which doesn't risk injector damage through contaminated fuel.

Because you don't need a bulb kit (with the wrong connectors) it's less faff and the fuel will be filtered before it reaches the injector. It does work and work very well in fact

A100ian has already added a link Thumbs Up

I searched for "Fuel filter change" and this is the thread I used,
https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic9310.htm...ter+change
the job seems to be getting more in depth than it needs to be Shocked considering the filter change interval I would not be putting a prime bulb in-line
and
if you Pull the fuel through the filter when its been fitted it gets filtered in exactly the same way as when the engines running

after doin it the first time its the way I will stick with

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

IMO it's more faff messing about injecting fuel into the tank side if the filter, rather then simply connecting the correct (mine has correct connectors) pump for a few seconds to prime the filter properly, without needing odd bits of pipe, funnels and spare can of clean fresh fuel hanging about.
Sure there are many ways to do a job, but only one correct way. Wink 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate on order.
Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE.
