United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Barolo Black
Electrical gremlins

Hi guys. I’ve some electrical Gremlins keeping in on my 08 plate Freelander 2 HSE.
The wipers stuck on the other day even with the key out so he’s to remove the fuse and let the relay cool down then maybe coincidentally or not the auto headlights aren’t turning on. I changed the battery about six months ago and since then I have to double unlock the car to gain access. Can anyone point me in the right direction with these issues. Has anyone else had this with the lights/wipers?

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Rimini Red

BCU = Body Control Unit.
BCM = Body Control Module.
JCB = Central Junction Box.
All are the same thing, just different names, and basically is the main computer (or module) that runs body related functions, like lighting, wiper and such. It's one of about 20 separate modules on the Freelander 2, all connected together on various data buses, which control various items around the vehicle. It's quite a complicated machine, electronically. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate on order.
Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE.
