Freelander 2 electric seat forward position stop changed.

Suddenly my electric drivers seat will not go fully forward.
All motors function fine and seat does move forwards and backwards but not as far forwards as it used to.

Can anyone let me know if there if an endstop or readswitch which may have failed or something else.

Any info would be much appreciated before I start to rip apart at the weekend.

Thanks

https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic7539.htm...at+forward

I placed the words 'electric seat forward' in the SEARCH (of old posts) and found the above.

looks like the seat needs to be re-set ..... by dealer ???

try this.....

end seat calibration.

hold forward switch on, then started engine and seat went forward, must be away if resetting end points

SOLVED !!!!! - thanks

Holding forward switch on whilst starting engine solved the problem instantly - almost crushed my knees on the dash as was so surprised I forgot to let go of switch.

My wife can now drive again.

I really am very grateful for your help.
