Fuse F17 blowing constantly

Hi All, recently got a 2007 hse manual freelander 2.

Problem is the f17 fuse keeps blowing, theres no led lights in the car, the only thing wrong that I know of is a broken nearside folding mirror motor.

Any suggestions would be of great help.

may thanks

Gethin

If it is F17 in the passengers fusebox then that is the fuse for the interior lights. There must be a short somewhere in the circuits somewhere.Perhaps remove the interior bulbs then replace the fuse and then replace the bulb one by one to see if you can pinpoint where the problem is.The boot compartment bulb holder can be problematic and fall to bits internally.Might be worth starting there. Good luck!

I just wonder about the comment that there are “no led lights in the car”. It’s a 2007 car so would probably only have been fitted with incandescent bulbs originally. I’d be investigating what previous owners have done in the light fittings around the car.

Hi I not checked but if this fuse is the int lights check the rear int light unit . Mine had filled with water from condensation on the roof.i stuck some insulation above and around it.it stopped the unit filling with water.
Good look Bob

Fuse F17 blowing when setting off

Hi all and thanks for the replies, I've had all the internal lights out and nothing, the only think I have noticed is that everything works on all the doors except the drivers door, no mirror control or windows..
